Today, my teammates and I sat down and read through our screenplay in order to plan out our storyboard. Samrah took it upon herself to sketch it. This is the result:
Budgeting
Our sir instructed us to estimate the amount of money we would need for the filming of our final project today. Auditions ( change in cast )
My crew and I encountered our first challenge today as we planned the music video. The first issue is that Eman, the actress we hired to play the girl in the music video, told us she wouldn't be in town for at least weeks, which is a problem because Samrah, Faiga, and I are composite students and are under a lot of time pressure. Second, as Moosa and Adil are both media students, they informed us that they would be unavailable for a while because they needed to complete their own projects as well. We found this information to be really discouraging and it did make us a little anxious, but we didn't give up and we decided that choosing to be the stars of our own music video was the best choice. This is advantageous since we will be able to work on our own schedule and realise our precise vision. We've decided on me, Samrah, and Zakriya as our final cast members.
Audition
We made the decision to schedule casting calls for the music video cast during today's team meeting. We sent a message to our friends and relatives to let them all know. The following day, auditions were held. We created a short screenplay that was performed by each participant and disseminated. We had lots of candidates, and the auditions went well. Thankfully, we were able to pin down the three actors -Eman, Adil, and Moosa- who most closely resembled our envisioned interpretations of the roles.
